Project Opportunities, 2017- 2018 North Island

MMM Centre.   1 Kane Street, Pirongia.
15th to 19th January 2018
    Maintenance and preparation for upcoming projects.

Ywam Zion.   504 Wairere Road, RD 1, Paparoa.
    22nd January to 2nd February
    Paint exterior of office block, house and lecture room. Morning, afternoon teas and meals provided. Accommodation and caravan parking available on site.

 Karakariki Christian Camp.   471 Karakariki Road, Whatawhata.
    7th to 23rd February
    Repairs, preparation and paint exterior of managers house, garage and sleepout. Morning, afternoon teas and lunches provided. On site accommodation can be arranged during first two weeks and there is caravan parking available on site.

Otorohanga Baptist Church.   23 Haerehuka Street, Otorohanga.
    26th February to 9th March
    Prepare and paint exterior of church house. Morning, afternoon teas and lunches provided. Accommodation can be arranged and space for one caravan on site.

Ponui Island, Scripture Union NZ.   Ponui Island, 4km from Kawakawa Bay, Akld.
    12th to 23rd March
    Construct 6m x 6m lean-to addition to boat shed, then paint or stain whole shed. Replace camp kitchen vinyl flooring and paint kitchen and hall roofs. If time permits, two showers need an upgrade. Morning, afternoon teas and all meals provided. Accommodation for up to 20 is available on site.

Whakapapa Lodge, Scripture Union NZ.  Rehua Place, Whakapapa Village, Mt Ruapehu
     14th to 29th March
    Upgrade boys and girls bathrooms. Toilets, vanities and shower linings need to be replaced. Floors and walls need to be tiled and new cubicle partitions fitted. The hot water cylinders also need replacing.  Morning, afternoon teas and meals provided. Accommodation and caravan parking available on site.

Bay Baptist Church.   81 Gloucester Street, Napier
    3rd to 13th April.
    Replacing old timber weatherboards on back of church building. Repairs or replacement of window and door. Painting of new weatherboards to match existing. Morning, afternoon teas and lunches provided. Accommodation can be arranged and caravan parking available on site.

South Island Projects 2017 - 2018

Lakeland Park Christian Camp.   496 Peninsula Road, Kelvin Heights, Queenstown
4th to 15th December
Paint exterior walls and window frames of toilet block. Also paint interior window frames and interior window frames in main dining room and auditorium.

Morning, afternoon teas, and lunches provided. There is cabin accommodation if needed plus powered sites for campervans and caravans.

Tirohanga Camp.   214 Tirohanga Road, Mosgiel.
15th to 26th January
Repair and paint exterior and interior of three wooden cabins. Also build concrete pad for future spa pool. Morning, afternoon teas, and food for meals will be provided but help with preparing meals will be appreciated by Matt & Jess. There is cabin accommodation available plus four powered sites for campervans and caravans.

St Andrews Anglican Church.   12 Church Street, Oxford, North Canterbury.
5th to 23rd February
The project is to paint the exterior of the church hall, including doors and windows. There will be repairs needed to weatherboards and window frames.
Morning, afternoon teas, and lunches provided. Accommodation can be arranged plus campervan and caravan parking available on site.

Waipara Adventure Centre.   143 Darnley Road, RD3, Amberley
5th to 28th March, then 11th April to 4th May
This is a large project developing the Tui Complex at Waipara. The project involves stripping lining from a relocated building, framing up six bunkrooms and lining with gib. There are also two shower and ablution areas to set up before painting the complete building. Added to this there are 40 bunk beds to build. Morning, afternoon teas, and lunches provided. Accommodation can be arranged plus powered sites are available for campervans and caravans.

Replenish, Respite and Healing Trust.   776 Birch Hill Road, Okuku.
14th to 25th May
This project involves fitting a ceiling in a cottage (originally a garage), removing the garage door and replacing with a wall. A sun-porch is also required to cover in access to an outside toilet.
Morning, afternoon teas, and lunches provided. Accommodation can be arranged plus space is available for campervans and caravans.

Fiji, South Pacific & More

MMM New Zealand has a long history of sending short term teams into the South Pacific . MMM have had frequent teams every year since 1996 to Fiji and maintain a permanent centre there. MMM have also sent teams to Tonga, Vanuatu and Russia. New Zealanders have also joined MMM projects led by other MMM centres such as a team led by MMM Australia to India and teams led by MMM Hong Kong to China.
