Project Opportunities, 2017 North Island

MMM Centre, 1 Kane Street, Pirongia. 18th to 22nd September Catch up on projects around site. 

Pakuranga Christian Fellowship 96 Udys Road, Pakuranga. 
25th September to 13th October 
This project involves painting the exterior of the church building. Morning, afternoon teas and meals provided as needed. Some accommodation and caravan parking available on site. 

Ngaruawahia Community Church.   28 Galileo Street, Ngaruawahia.
24th October to 10th November
Paint exterior of church manse. Replace church hall deck and ramp. Possibly help with installing acoustic panels in church hall. Morning, afternoon teas and lunches provided. Accommodation can be arranged. There is no caravan parking available on site but there is space available at MMM, Pirongia.

International Word of Life Trust.   28 Dinsdale Road, Dinsdale, Hamilton.
13th to 24th November
Paint exterior of Word of Life office building. Morning, afternoon teas and lunches provided. Offsite accommodation could be arranged plus there is caravan parking available on site. 

Living Hope Baptist Church.   131 Bridge Street, Tokoroa.
28th November to 8th December
Paint roof of hall and some walls as required. Paint interior ceiling in foyer and walls in men’s and lady’s toilets. Some repairs to walls will be required. Morning, afternoon teas and lunches provided. Accommodation can be arranged and there is caravan parking available on site.

South Island Projects 2017

Danseys Pass Holiday Park (Celebrate Messiah NZ). 276 Danseys Pass Road, Oamaru.
2nd to 20th October
The project involves repairs to 8 small cabins including replacing windows, exterior cladding and repairs to floors. The kitchen tiles need to be removed and the concrete base sanded and sealed. There will be plenty of scraping and painting, so lots to do to help this ministry.Morning, afternoon teas, and lunches provided. There is cabin accommodation if needed plus powered sites for campervans and caravans.

Camp Iona.   35 Tulliemet Road, Herbert, North Otago.
30th October to 24th November
The project is to upgrade the recreational building by insulating and lining ceiling. Also remove a wall to allow for kitchenette and replace a door. In the lodge, the ceilings above the toilet and shower rooms need to be lowered. Also upgrade showers by fitting new shower cubicles.
Morning, afternoon teas, and lunches provided. There is cabin accommodation if needed plus powered sites for campervans and caravans.

Lakeland Park Christian Camp   496 Peninsula Road, Kelvin Heights, Queenstown.
4th to 15th December
Paint exterior walls and window frames of toilet block. Also paint interior window frames and interior window frames in main dining room and auditorium.
Morning, afternoon teas, and lunches provided. There is cabin accommodation if needed plus powered sites for campervans and caravans.

St Andrews Anglican Church. 12 Church Street, Oxford, North Canterbury.
Date to be confirmed
The project is to paint the exterior of the church hall, including doors and windows. There will be repairs needed to weatherboards and window frames.Morning, afternoon teas, and lunches provided. Accommodation can be arranged plus campervan and caravan parking available on site.

Fiji, South Pacific & More

MMM New Zealand has a long history of sending short term teams into the South Pacific . MMM have had frequent teams every year since 1996 to Fiji and maintain a permanent centre there. MMM have also sent teams to Tonga, Vanuatu and Russia. New Zealanders have also joined MMM projects led by other MMM centres such as a team led by MMM Australia to India and teams led by MMM Hong Kong to China.
